Overview

Artemisa Beauty is a Barcelona-based cosmetics house behind two iconic brands, Ninelle and SHU. Founded in 1997, Artemisa has grown into a trusted name in the beauty industry across Europe. The goal of this project was to design and build a bilingual (Spanish and English) website that celebrates the company’s rich history, presents its product lines with clarity, and radiates the spirit of contemporary Barcelona.

The visual direction draws inspiration from the city’s Mediterranean palette—sun-warmed beige and vibrant orange—alongside the intricate geometry of traditional Spanish tiles and the bold curves of Barcelona’s maximalist architecture. The use of expressive serif typography and soft, tiled layouts gives the brand a distinctive presence that feels both luxurious and warm. Every design decision reflects Artemisa’s blend of heritage and innovation.

Process

I collaborated closely with Artemisa Director to shape a clear narrative structure—starting with the company’s roots, followed by an introduction to Ninelle (elegant, innovative skincare) and SHU (edgy, youthful self-expression). The website was custom-built to be fast, responsive, and easily editable, with full bilingual support to serve both local and international audiences. Accessibility and SEO best practices were applied throughout.

Conclusion

The final website positions Artemisa Beauty as both an authority and a storyteller—celebrating decades of product development while embracing new digital frontiers. Since launch, the site has helped elevate the brand’s online presence and provides a strong foundation for future product launches and marketing campaigns.
